My Informal learning toolbox: Zite

I was introduced to the iPad appZite about a year ago and it quickly became a big part of my daily learning routine. Zite is a personalized magazine that does an amazing job of really delivering exactly what you want to see. When you sign in with Zite, you can create an account or sign in with an existing account, like Twitter. I initially signed in with my Twitter login , which meant right away I was receiving meaningful and interesting content.

The more I read on Zite and indicated what content I liked, the more customized the content was that I received. Every time I open Zite, it refreshes my home section , which collects content based on my main areas of interest but I can also decide to browse through any of the other categories I’ve added. Zite also has many predefined categories that you can add to your magazine. A few of my favorites include eLearning, technology, instructional design and gadgets.

I also love that I can easily share my Zite finds using Evernote, Twitter, Delicious, Instapaper and more.

For those who love Twitter but never have the time to click on all those tweeted links, give Zite a try with your Twitter account and enjoy the great curation and customization. The best part about Zite is the more you use it, the better it gets.
