Thinking about MOOC Analytics

I really enjoyed this interview and discussion with Simon Buckingham Shum on the possibilities of using software to analyze meaningful learning analytics from MOOCs. I find myself intrigued with the possibility of a computer learning to identify between deep and superficial discussions on such a large scale.
It’s clear that understanding analytics and the impact in terms of privacy and ethics is key for those who will be collecting and analyzing and those being analyzed.
