Talent Management & Experience Management: Similarities and Differences

Highly recommend this 5 minute read from Steve Hunt on talent management and experience management , how they differ and how they align . I especially appreciated his definitions of Talent and Experience Management.

Talent Management is: ” getting the right people in the right roles doing the right things the right way. It does this using methods designed to predict and influence employee behavior. This includes staffing methods to hire people whose future behaviors will support company goals, and performance and development methods that help employees to master and display behaviors supporting the company’s mission, values and strategy.  “

And Experience Management “is about understanding and influencing employee beliefs and attitudes that support the company’s mission, vision, and goals. Most experience management methods ask employees questions to determine how they are reacting to aspects of their work and then use embedded analytics to interpret and act on the employee responses. “
